Lisa Nunez Safarian

Lisa has dedicated her career to advancing agriculture and helping farmers achieve better outcomes, with three-plus decades in key commercial, product development, and strategy roles at market leaders and beyond.

Prior to assuming the role of CEO, Lisa served as an Independent Director for Inari, in addition to holding board positions with RiceTec and Pivot Bio.

From 2022 to 2024, Lisa served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Pivot Bio. Between 2018 and 2020, she served as President, North America for Bayer Crop Science and as a member of Bayer’s Global Executive Circle. Previously, she spent 32 years at Monsanto, most recently as Vice President, North America, where she helped build Monsanto’s $12 billion seeds, traits, licensing, and crop protection businesses and participated as a member of the Monsanto Executive Team Operations Council.

She holds both an MBA and a B.S. in Business Administration/Business Information Systems from Southern Illinois University.
